- Abstract
The article presents a study on the relationship between perceived accessibility of cigarettes and the risk of smoking among youths in Massachusetts. The study used data from the second Development and Assessment of Nicotine Dependence in Youth (DANDY-2) study which started in 2002. It concludes that perceived accessibility increases the risk of smoking among youths and has a stronger effect among those with peer smokers.
