Lighting up nucleosome spacing.

- Abstract
The article presents a study which uses fluorescence resonance energy transfer to monitor nucleosome repositioning in real time to address how these enzymes sense when nucleosomes are evenly distributed. The author discusses the possible roles for nucleosome spacing in gene regulation under conditions of different nucleosome spacing. They have observed that the rate at which nucleosomes leave their original location is greatly accelerated by the presence of linker DNA.
