- Abstract
An essay is presented on English poet Gerard Manley Hopkins and his poetry. Topics discussed include Hopkins' emphasis on his poetry with the subjective capture of patterned experience, his work on natural theology arguments through visualizations of scientific thinking, and his views on Darwin in his works. Several of his nature sonnets are explored including "The Caged Skylark" and "The Sea and the Skylark."
