- Abstract
The article discusses how the dynamics of economy and society are shaped by the elites, forms of expertise, and their command posts, that are centers of societal power that regulate, oversee, and aim to maintain social order. Topics discussed include the study of elites from the perspective of temporary theories of power, that relate to the policy making and its implementation. In addition, reference is made to a comparative study of international elites that operate across nation-states by their increasing specialization in their professional fields.
