- Authors
Birkenmaier, Anke
- Abstract
The article discusses the radiophonic art principle developed by French businessman and radio pioneer Paul Deharme. The author notes that Deharme's principle is a combination of entertainment and the analysis of the collective subconscious. He mentions that it offers a compendium of principles that Deharme found most useful for making the radio message reach not only to the listeners' ears, but to their conscious and subconscious mind. He adds that in its book "Pour un Art Radiophonique," which he added references to contemporary psychological and psychoanalytic thought and to the surrealists and offered a detailed discussion of his one radio-play.
