- Abstract
In this paper, an open electromagnetic field experiment project is designed for undergraduates. The experimental project uses the large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS to simulate the magnetic field distribution of the Helmholtz coil. The experimental contents include: Based on Biot Savart theorem, the magnetic field distribution of one-dimensional and multi-dimensional Helmholtz coils is obtained through the theoretical calculation and MATLAB software drawing analysis; Based on ANSYS Maxwell software platform, the simulation model of Helmholtz coil is established; The magnetic field distribution of Helmholtz coils with different dimensions is obtained by simulation analysis, which verifies the theoretical analysis results. The teaching results show that the experimental project can help students to strengthen the understanding of electromagnetic field theory knowledge, and guide them to think and explore, and the teaching effect is good.
