Antiviral immunity: A 'mature' way of controlling HBV.
- Authors
Leavy, Olive
- Abstract
The article discusses research being done on lymphocyte organization and immune priming in the liver. It references a study by J. Publicover and colleagues which appeared in a 2013 issue of "Journal of Clinical Investigation." Results of the study showed that hepatitis B virus-specific adaptive immune response occurred first in the liver in a transgenic mice model. It also found an increase in CXC-chemokine ligand 13 expression with age in hepatic macrophages.
