- Abstract
This article, titled "Foreign Body in the Main Bronchus: Radiological Signs, Complications, and Differential Diagnosis," discusses the case of a 1-year-old boy who presented to the emergency room with symptoms of agitation, mild fever, and increased respiratory effort. The child's parent suspected peanut inhalation, and a chest X-ray revealed hyperinflation of the left lung, indicating a foreign body in the main bronchus. The child underwent an emergency bronchoscopy, which confirmed the presence of a lodged peanut. The article emphasizes the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment to prevent respiratory complications. It also discusses the use of inspiratory-expiratory chest X-rays and lung ultrasound as diagnostic tools.
