- Title
Re-Imagining Diversity and Connection in the Chaos World: An Interview with Patrick Chamoiseau.
- Authors
Morgan, Janice
- Abstract
Presents an interview with novelist and essayist Patrick Chamoiseau. When asked about the kind of changes or trends he observed as a writer, he refers to the modernity of family structures, social structures and value systems. Chamoiseau views "Diaspora" as an older identity system based on territories and boundaries. He regards the diversity of languages as monolingual imagery in a monolithic way, and asserts the intermingling relationship between unity and diversity.
