- Title
Mixing Matters: "Callaloo Nation" Revisited.
- Authors
Khan, Aisha
- Abstract
The author explores what unifies and distinguishes the African Diaspora in the Americas and the South Asian Diaspora in the Caribbean. He addresses the critical meeting point between the diasporas as a series of questions related to boundaries and the expanded concept of diaspora. By deriving in part from his book "Callaloo Nation: Metaphors of Race and Religious Identity Among South Asians in Trinidad," the author examines Indo-Caribbean Diaspora and Trinidad's mixed imagery.
