- Abstract
Scentless mayweed (MATIN) is an annual dicotyledonous weed species in temperate zones. So far, seven cases of herbicide resistance are known. All cases of resistance refer to the group of acetolactate inhibitors. During a German resistance survey, a scentless mayweed population was detected showing reduced sensitivity to metazachlor, an active belonging to the group of inhibitors of very long chain fatty acid synthesis. In the present study, the reduced sensitivity was further characterized using soil- and agar-based bioassays.
