The article offers information on conflict of laws involved in insurance and how these conflicts can be resolved by following the conflict avoidance approach in the U.S. It mentions that insurance law is still the state law in the U.S. It investigates the court case New York Life Insurance Co. vs. Dodge Co., involving life insurance policy. It informs that efforts made to reconcile the various judicial approaches for the determination of the applicable law has affected the Section of Insurance Law of the American Bar Association.
