- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of response plan awareness and sources of future information in the impending peak of influenza A/H1N1 virus or swine flu in Great Britain. It mentions that the swine flu has started in Mexico and circulates in the summer rather than the traditional winter months. It offers some basic measures in preventing the spread of the virus such as covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, washing of hands with soap and warm water, and cleaning of hard surfaces such as door handles with ordinary cleaning agents.
