An essay is presented on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its legacy on the resolutions of the intellectual property disputes. It focuses on NAFTA and its contributions to protect intellectual property rights and to settle intellectual property disputes and Trade related aspects on Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) agreement as part of Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) negotiations.
