By the End of WW I, Czechoslovak legions were formed in Russia, and they had to undertake the long journey from European part of Russia to Vladivostok in the Far East. During their journey they became the important military factor for the Allies and after quite long negotiations it has been decided to use them as a nucleus of the new military force for reopening Siberian battle field against central powers. At their home, in (former) Austria-Hungary, their families knew only a small amount of information about their relatives in the Far East and all of it has been provided by Austro-Hungarian press. In the comparison of war events in the Far East with the information, which has been published in Austro-Hungarian press called Narodní listy, was gathered, that the Czech public has been quite good notified of the political and war events in the Far East.
