It identifies work-life balance as a crucial issue for establishing gender diversity across institutions and disciplines. It emphasizes the significance of climate, culture, and collegiality in defining a positive experience for existing academic, referencing from a study on minority faculty. It highlights various measures adopted by many institutions to achieve faculty diversity such as the elimination of hostile environment during the recruitment and interview methods.
