- Abstract
The article summarizes a study of Andrea Kodym and John Delpratt related to the viability of Thatch Saw-sedge fruit (Gahnia radula). The results of the study indicate that since Thatch Saw-sedge is a rhizomatous species and so, this probably plays an important role in the spread and maintenance of plant populations. The study suggests the possibility that this species' consistent failure to produce viable seeds is due to the fact that these remnant vegetations are predominantly clonal.
