- Abstract
This article discusses the effects of artificial shading on teinturier grape clusters and their flavonoid profiles and metabolism. Teinturier grapes are known for accumulating flavonoids in both the skin and pulp, but the concentrations and proportions differ between the two tissues. The study found that bagging the grape clusters resulted in a decrease in total anthocyanins and flavonols, with flavonols being more sensitive to bagging. The expression of flavonoid synthesis genes also differed between the skin and pulp. This research provides new insights into the regulation of flavonoids in teinturier grapes under light exclusion conditions.
