- Authors
ATKINSON, MEERA
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Regeneration Trilogy," by Pat Barker is presented. It examines the transgenerational trauma of the Great War and cyclical affects and effects of familial trauma and war. It outlines the idea of Brian Massumi on affect, virtuality, and autonomy in relation to Jacques Derrida's conception of hauntology, and the psychoanalytic view of Jean Laplanche on trauma as a kind of ontological condition.
