- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses why the concept of global health security needs to be expanded to include solidarity and sustainability to address limitations in global health emergency responses, and reasons why global health security potentially privileges state security instead of security of individuals. Reasons discussed include focus on protection of high-income countries against public health threats from low- and middle-income countries, and emphasis on disease containment for national security.
