- Abstract
The article reports on the unemployment situation in the African Kingdom of Morocco in 2007. It reports that the unemployment rate in Morocco increased slightly from 9.7 percent to 9.8 percent in 2007. It describes that the unemployment rate is higher in Moroccan cities at 15.4 percent, while in rural areas, the rate came to 3.8 percent. The article also describes the figures of created formal positions, which totaled around 167,000 including 50,000 formal jobs in rural areas and 117,000 formal work in the cities.
