- Title
Acute Convulsions Associated with Endrin Poisoning -- Pakistan.
- Abstract
This article presents the case of an outbreak of acute convulsions associated with endrin poisoning in Punjab, Pakistan between July 14 and September 26, 1984. Sera from 12 of 21 patients with convulsions had measurable levels of endrin. Available data suggested that sugar could have been contaminated during transport to a wholesale depot in the subdistrict capital then distributed to the villages. It is noted that cotton and sugar-cane growers in the southern part of the Punjab use endrin.
