- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the impact of bariatric surgery on working status and productivity of patients with severe obesity. Topics covered include the observed changes in weight, physical function and mental health, and comorbidity resolution, the association of these changes with postsurgery absenteeism and presenteeism, and the finding that improvements in physical function and depressive symptoms were linked with reduced risks of postsurgery absenteeism and presenteeism.
