The article discusses the role of the Americans With Disabilities Act in addressing discrimination of patients with HIV/AIDs. Topics mentioned include the effect of HIV stigma on the health outcomes, state laws that penalize HIV nondisclosure, lack of civil rights protections for LGBT people, and contribution of the Affordable Care Act to the reduction in HIV transmission.
