- Abstract
Immuno-oncology field is in a continuous process of development by creation of revolutionized therapies as an alternative to the classical ones. Even though, at the beginning the immunomodulatory strategies were focused on using CAR-T cells as an alternative immunotherapy, the latest researches are focusing on developing an alternative immunotherapy such as CAR-NK. Natural killer cells are an important component of the immune system, having the capacity to secrete cytokines and chemokines. Because of this property, NK cells can kill the tumor cells and not only. In our review we are going to present the benefits and the latest results regarding therapies with NK cells, CAR-NK cells, also we are highlighting the importance of continuing studying them in order to improve the survival of the oncological patients.
