- Abstract
At southhuasteca region in Mexico, the otomi have excelled for its cultural vitality, as well as some social and political activism that inf luences their interethnic relations, economic activities and daily life. One example is the effective transnational migrant circuit ranging from the South Huastecan to the East Coast of the United States, which have consolidated over three migratory waves with different stakeholders. In that vein, it is my interest to make a general outline on international migration dynamics of this group: who are the social actors involved, which are the characteristics of their mobility, filed ethnic networks and use of remittances.
