- Abstract
The article focuses on the correspondence sent to the woman's group Cambridge Lesbian Liberation and the lesbian organization Daughters of Bilitis (DOB) counselor Julie Lee during the 1970s. The article discusses the feminist viewpoints of politicized lesbians during the gay rights movement, examines the social impact of these lesbian organizations, and analyzes how they sought to find alternatives to lesbian psychoanalysis through informal peer counseling.
