- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 73-year-old man with leukocytosis. The patient was diagnosed with advanced phase-chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and triploid karyotype has been associated to BCR-ABL fusion oncogenes transcript levels at diagnosis. Nilotinib therapy was administered but the disease progress and soon entered a myeloid blastic phase and the patient died within 3 months.
