- Abstract
The article discusses a research study on Trichogramma chilonis and the toxicity of new insecticides against them under laboratory and extended laboratory conditions. Tested were six insecticides in Field Recommended Concentrations (FRCs) including emamectin benzoate, spinosad and neem oil on parasitized eggs of Helicoverpa armigera tomato in the Insecticide Toxicology Laboratory. Results showed varying toxicity degrees of insecticides against different T. chilonis eggs in immature stages. First in rank in the reduction of adult emergence is spinosad then emamectin and third is benzoate. Other findings include significant toxicity of insecticides on T. chilonis adults when offered fresh.
