- Abstract
The article discusses corporate governance rating systems. Four grading systems are: Institutional Shareholder Services, which uses a Corporate Governance Quotient; Standard & Poor's, which evaluates interaction among managers, board of directors, and financial stakeholders; Governance Metrics International, which compiles relational databases; and Corporate Library's Board Analyst System, which rates the board on policy implementation. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is mentioned.
