- Abstract
The article presents the author's comments on the impact of de-industrialization on the blue-collar workers in Connecticut. The author says that industrial decline and de-industrialization caused the disappearance of well-paying manufacturing jobs in the state. He mentions that hundreds of machining jobs were slashed by the Pratt & Whitney Corp. The author also mentions the International Association of Machinists's stand in this regard.
