Baseler and colleagues. Topics include importance of testing a range of models at the onset of an emergent disease outbreak; causing an acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)-like condition by MERS-CoV, and higher risk for MERS-CoV in people with diabetes, obesity, and lung disease.
