- Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine a comprehensive set of key factors that are likely to impact undergraduate marketing students' intention to study abroad once it is determined these factors are measured and interpreted the same by students in both the United States and Norway. Based on the literature and in order to help higher-education administrators to improve study-abroad participation rates and enrollment of international students, data from undergraduate marketing majors in the USA and Norway are collected. The key factors examined include both motivators and deterrents to study abroad and also a personality trait referred to as risk aversion.
