The article reflects upon the status aquaculture and laws related to its regulation in China and the U.S. Topics discussed include the laws for consumer protection for the marketing of environmentally friendly products, the importance of third-party certification for sustainability and for defining the standards of environmentally friendly products, and the guidelines of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for marketing of seafood.
