- Abstract
The article describes federal laws that treat corporations as distinguishable from individuals in context of the campaign finance and examines the U.S. Supreme Court case law addressing that difference. It discusses different theories behind the purpose of the U.S. Constitution First Amendment using the case Citizen United v. Federal Election Commission. It explains corporate speaker's interest in using general treasury funds to make electioneering communication.
