- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by Lirio Covey and colleagues of New York City, which aims to determine if inattention or hyperactivity, the separate domains of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affected rates of smoking cessation differently. It references a study published in the 2008 issue of the "Nicotine Tobacco Research" periodical. The study found that patients with ADHD-hyperactivity/impulsivity with or without inattention had the lowest rates of smoking cessation than patients without ADHD or with ADHD-inattention.
