- Abstract
The article discusses various aspects of biobank and genomic research in Uganda as of 2016, and it addresses the question of whether the extant privacy and confidentiality regimes in the country are adequate. The Ugandan Medical Informatics Center is examined in relation to the efforts to collect, store, and analyze data that is needed for use in genomic research.
