Keywords: Marsh mallow EN Marsh mallow 1 3 3 12/29/22 20221001 NES 221001 I Althaea officinalis i (marsh mallow, I Malvaceae i ) is a medicinal plant, the roots, leaves and flowers of which are usually used in traditional medicines in many countries, including Iran (Kianitalaei I et al. i , [2]). During a survey in April 2022, a phytoplasma-type disease, tentatively named I A. officinalis i yellows (AOY), was observed in patches of I A. officinalis i plants naturally growing in Golestan, near Shiraz (Fars province, Iran). First report of a "Candidatus Phytoplasma solani"-related strain (16SrXII-A) associated with Althaea officinalis yellows disease in Iran.
