- Abstract
The article discusses the ethical obligations of general practitioners to their patients can be overridden by the state. It refers to the guidelines of the American Medical Association (AMA) that ban physician participation in execution chambers, but the AMA cannot revoke the license of a participant. The author thinks that physician involvement in executions was central to the worst botching of humanity in the medicalized process.
