- Title
Manual Performance Deterioration in the Cold Estimated Using the Wind Chill Equivalent Temperature.
- Authors
Daanen, Hein A. M.
- Abstract
The article discusses the use of wind chill equivalent temperature (WCET) for the estimation of manual performance deterioration in cold environments. The author explains that cold and windy climates can decrease finger and hand dexterity. The latter is investigated with their grip force through nine combinations of ambient temperature and wind speeds that are controlled in a climatic chamber.
