- Abstract
The article offers information on the survey conducted by Cerulli Associates regarding the benefits derived in financial planning in the U.S. Results reveal that majority of respondents believed that most important benefits they get from it are the strengthening of customer relationships and better management of client expectations. Approximately two-thirds of respondents viewed financial planning services as a revenue generator which is independent of investment advice. Moreover, 85% of advisers claimed that some of their clients demanded more comprehensive services while less than half of customers received a comprehensive plan.
