- Title
Pulsed field ablation versus thermal energy ablation for atrial fibrillation: the Pulse Era is arriving.

- Abstract
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common cardiac arrhythmia that can lead to serious health complications. Catheter ablation, using thermal energy sources like radiofrequency or cryoballoon, is a commonly used treatment for AF. However, pulsed electric field ablation (PFA), a newer non-thermal ablation technology, has shown promise in recent studies. A meta-analysis comparing PFA to thermal ablation found that PFA had shorter procedural times and similar rates of complications and recurrent AF. PFA offers efficient ablation and may have fewer complications, although further research is needed to fully understand its potential.
