- Abstract
This document is a response to a comment on a recent publication about risk factors for dislocation following total hip arthroplasty in developmental dysplasia of the hip. The authors address concerns raised about the databases used in their search strategy and explain their preference for international databases. They also acknowledge the concern about the level of evidence for outcome measures and discuss the use of the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) for quality assessment. The authors appreciate suggestions for using the Methodological Index for Non-Randomized Studies (MINORS) and mention that they will consider it for future studies. They clarify that they did not find any publication bias and mention the kappa value for inter-reviewer agreement. The authors thank their colleagues for their contributions and provide information about the authorship and funding of the study.
