- Abstract
With the support of information technology and industrial transformation and upgrading the focus of global economic development has gradually shifted to knowledge intensive industries with high growth low pollution and high added value and cultural and creative industries have become the focus of a new round of competition around the world. The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is one of the most representative and demonstrative regions in the development of cultural and creative industries in China. With the continuous expansion of the industrial scale problems of the cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration have also gradually emerged in the process of development such as unreasonable spatial layout insufficient connectivity of resource elements and cutthroat competition of industrial homogeneity and non-differentiation. With the in-depth promotion of the national strategy of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the high-quality development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration how to improve the spatial layout of the cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has become a practical issue to be solved urgently. Although the academia has studied the spatial problems of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from the theoretical and empirical perspectives there are still few empirical studies on the spatial correlation and network structure characteristics of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from the perspectives of space and geography. In order to promote the spatial layout of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration we from the perspective of coordinated development of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration combining with relevant data from 2011 to 2019 use the revised spatial gravity model social network analysis method and Ucinet and ArcGIS software to conduct empirical analysis on the spatial correlation strength and spatial network structure characteristics of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from the perspective of centrality and core edge and further explore the agglomeration sub-groups of cultural and creative industries spatial correlation plates and the correlation between plates of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. The spatial correlation and network structure characteristics of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration are clarified which provides decision-making reference for the construction of a new pattern of differentiated and misplaced development of regional cultural and creative industries the optimal allocation of industrial resources the efficient circulation of industrial factors and the high-quality development of industries. The results show that i the spatial correlation intensity of cultural and creative industries in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration increases year by year ii the cultural and creative industry network structure of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is becoming increasingly stable and Shanghai Nanjing and Hangzhou are the central nodes and channel controllers of the entire network iii the cities in the east wing of the Yangtze River Delta are located in the core area of the whole network and the core area is closely connected with each other but the trickle-down effect on the marginal cities is limited iv the cultural and creative industries of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration mainly focus on Shanghai Nanjing Hangzhou Hefei and other central cities and form a cohesive sub-cluster closely related internally. How to effectively build the coordinated development mechanism for cultural and creative industries along the Yangtze River Delta so as to facilitate the smooth flow of industrial resources how to form the network pattern of differentiated and dislocated development of regional cultural and creative industries so as to improve the efficiency of spatial allocation of industrial factors and how to form a well-proportioned regional industrial innovation ecosystem so as to promote the high- quality development of industries are the major issues that need further research.
