- Abstract
This article describes the implementation of a project called Is that art? This project seeks to improve the understanding of contemporary art of our 3rd ESO students. Through the project we researched how the perception of the art of participating students (88 students from an institute in Oviedo) can change. For this purpose, mixed research has been designed using as data collection tools the participant observation in the arts classroom, discussion groups prior to the implementation of the project and two questionnaires after it. The results of the research confirm that a large part of the participating students modify and expand their idea of contemporary art, coming to understand the social work that it developpes and the multiple disciplines that coexist today.
