- Title
Core Deposit-Gathering Models: What Works Best?
- Authors
McGuire, William J.
- Abstract
The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of core deposit gathering models. The negotiable order of withdrawal provides direct margin contribution and minimal echo effects due to repricing. The hypothesis that interrelationships between finance and ambiguous supply motivators is affected by depositor decision is reflected in the patterns of rate changes in the models. One of the weaknesses of the posting/Internet model is the lack of equity-at-risk interest rate risk hedging.
