The article explores the religious history of Alaska. Emphasis is given to the conversion of native Alaskans to Christianity and the missionary work of Protestant leader Sheldon Jackson. Other topics include the construction of Presbyterian church buildings, the establishment of mission schools, and the political leadership of territorial governor John G. Brady.
