- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the present status of foreign female migrant workers in Israel analyzed alongside the biblical story "Scroll of Ruth". Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics shows that 80,000 foreign nationals from developing countries entered Israel on a tourist visa but remained in the country after their visa had expired. It also states that their stay is regulated by the law however, they are subjected to the laws and regulations of the host country.
