- Authors
Sampedro Gaviria, Carlos Alberto
- Abstract
Romano Guardini spent much of his work and his teaching to ethical issues, especially during his stay at the University of Munich. In his ethics point of view, he made a strong critique to the Modernity and its principle of autonomy. This principle lead to a crisis in Western society, which is reflected in the cultural malaise. Three are the dialectics of this malaise: Pride - Anguish, knowledge - ignorance, revolution - dictatorship and silence - word. The way forward proposed by Guardini, is the metanoia.
