- Abstract
The article considers the use of martial arts-based high intensity interval training (MA-HIIT) in the rehabilitation of combat amputees in the U.S. armed forces. Topics discussed include the benefits of a MA-HIIT program, the barriers to successful rehabilitation of the combat amputee, and some advances to the rehabilitation of the combat amputee that have been developed since the onset of the hostilities after the attacks of September 11, 2001.
